About the Persistence Splitboard Skins

These skins are for splitboarders who value glide and weight savings in the mountains.

The Persistence Splitboard Skins are the climbing skins that splitboarders have been waiting for. This skin is made with snowboard-mountaineering, expeditions, and longer tours in mind where efficiency is important, but reliability is still essential. Our 65/35 mohair/nylon blend optimizes the glide of mohair with the durability and grip of nylon for the perfect go-to skin. Combined with our self-renewing climbing skin glue, you won’t experience glue failure no matter how cold it is or how many transitions you make.

If you are new to splitboarding, you may find our grippier full nylon Rambler Splitboard Skins easier to learn on.

*All skins come with the best warranty in the industry - a lifetime warranty on tip and tail connectors and 2-year warranty on plush and glue. We're confident that you'll never have to use it!

PRODUCT ADD-ONS

CHEAT SHEETS

A strong sheet of mesh which can be used between your folded skins for ease of pulling apart.

Note: Cheat Sheets are not meant to protect your glue. Store the skins glue-to-glue and they’ll last longer.

TRIM BLADE

Trim Blades are free. If you have a simple box cutter with a sharp blade at home, you can just use that. Otherwise, add one to your order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these skins work with a pintail board?

If you have a pintail or other non-traditionally shaped board, our connectors will most likely work for you, but you may want to assemble them yourself to be sure that they’re oriented properly. If this is the case, we recommend purchasing our Naked splitboard skins and adding connectors to your order. This way, you can install your connectors to fit your board.

What if the tips or tails of my board are wider than your skins?

This is not a problem. You won’t sacrifice any grip from some base being exposed in your tip and tail. We actually recommend tapering skins at the tip and tail to reduce bulk and weight. These skins are wide enough to properly fit any splitboard on the market.

PERSISTENCE SPLITBOARD SKIN Reviews

These are simply the best on the market. Since I bought these I have put hundreds of days on them and they have not failed me once. When I say this I want you the reader to understand that I am not kind to my equipment. I have skinned across rocks on them so many times, The plush is still plushy(no tears), Ive used them in more PNW rainstorms then I can shake a stick at and the glue has all ways stuck. Heck even during a -40 cold snap in the selkirks the glue held fast. Even Huge days and traverses with 10+ transitions the glue is still working. These things will not quit on you. If you want a piece of gear that has great glide, Some how is more durable then any other mohair mixed skin(trust me I’ve tried a lot of them)While still folding down to a packable size these are the skins for you. Add in the fact that its a small skier owned company with a great legacy in the sport you really can’t go wrong.
    Big sky till I die!

The tail clip is easily the best in the industry. It’s super secure and the strap doesn’t stretch at all so I’m confident that it won’t break. The skins themselves glide similarly to other mixes that I’ve used but the glue seems to stick better when it’s cold or at the end of a long day out. I haven’t had any issues with them at all and would gladly purchase a second pair.
